Interesting Facts

  • St. Ann School is accredited by SACs Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the national accreditation signifying our commitment to educational excellence. The school also holds state accreditation.               
  • Our pupil-teacher ratio, when factoring in our administrative support staff, is approximately 12:1. Generally homeroom classes in grades K-4 have approximately 25 students or less per class. PK2, PK3 and PK4 class sizes are even lower.

  • The administrative support staff includes the Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselors, Curriculum Coordinator, Student Activities' Director, Religion Coordinator, Technology Coordinator, School Programs Director and Development Director.


  • Each year our TerraNova NEXT percentiles are higher than the National and Archdiocesan average.


  • An impressive number of our former students have attained the recognition of valedictorian or salutatorian from the area Catholic high schools.

  • Approximately 30% of St. Ann faculty members hold advanced university degrees. All faculty members meet Louisiana and Southern Association guidelines for accreditation.

  • Each year a number of our 7th grade students receive academic scholarships to local Catholic high schools. 100% of our students were accepted into the high school of their choice.

  • The school campus facilities include a "state of the art" library, STEM lab, music & band room and science lab.  The facilities also include a gymnasium with stage and locker room, cafeteria, computer lab, art studio, PK2 playground, PK3 through Kindergarten playground, and K-7 playground and green turf field.

  • We offer a full lunch program, before/after school extended care and holiday care. 

  • The use of technology equipment and software enhances all aspects of the school. All classrooms have a network computer, a plasma monitor for digital media broadcasts, and document cameras. Kindergarten through seventh grade students enrich their learning with a 1:1 iPad program. PK classrooms have iPad centers for student use. Additionally, our PK2 classrooms are equipped with Apple TVs, and our PK3 through 7th grade classrooms have interactive Newline panel boards. Our STEM lab includes 3Dprinters, and our computer lab has 35 desktop computers for student use.  Google Classroom is utilized as our digital learning platform for all students in grades PK2 through seventh.



  • Every classroom is equipped with a telephone, television, and internet access for communications.
  • The school uses the services of School Messenger, a telephone broadcast system, to notify households and parents within minutes of an emergency or unplanned event. The service is also can used to communicate general announcements or reminders. 

  • Parents have access to the Parent Plus Portal, an internet service through which they can access current information about the school, as well as their child’s schedule and academic progress. A parent can monitor their child's academic progress by viewing their grades and communicating with teachers through email on the Parent Plus Portal. The school uses this Portal to electronically communicate with our families.

  • Returning student registration is completed through our online process.  Tuition payments can be arranged as a monthly recurring bank draft once a bank loan is secured. All tuition and fees may be paid in full as a one-time payment through debit/credit card or by bank draft. Extended care attendance and payments as well as lunch accounts are managed online.

  • Our campus' buildings are secured by a magnetic lock system monitored by the security services of Sonitrol of New Orleans, Inc. There are several video surveillance cameras throughout the campus including entrances and exits.

  • Forty-one (41) staff members have been at St. Ann School 10 years or more. 

  • There are twenty-four (24) former graduates on St. Ann’s staff. 

  • All third grade students learn to play a musical instrument.  Students in grades 4th-7th are invited to join the school band.

  • There are many extra-curricular school activities offered for the students, including Choir, Band, Art Club, Fine Arts Club, Chess Club, Student Council, Beta Club, Builders Club, Junior Service Club, St. Joseph’s Club, Mary’s Club, Quiz Bowl, Spanish Club, Technology Club, Science Club, Lego Club, STEM Club, Cheerleading, Dance Team, Student Ministry, Spirit Club and Drama Club.

  • The school participates in all the CSAL sports, including Cabbage Ball, Volleyball, Flag Football and Basketball. We also participate in several Metro Sports, including Cross Country, Bowling, Tennis, Swimming, Soccer, Soft Ball,, Baseball and Golf.
