The schools of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Louisiana, admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at its schools. They do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin or disability in administration of their educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. Information used with applications will not be used for any unlawful discriminatory purpose. Nonpublic schools seeking state and federal funds must comply with the nondiscrimination requirements of Brumfield vs. Dodd. Brumfield vs. Dodd approval verifies that schools are not racially segregated or do not use racially discriminatory policies and practices. Annually, nonpublic schools must submit a Brumfield vs. Dodd Compliance Report in order to maintain eligibility for state and federal funding. Additionally, in compliance with Title IX of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, no person in the schools of the Archdiocese shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, or be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity except as permitted under said Title IX. This policy applies to all schools which are under Catholic Archdiocesan auspices.
